Professionally speaking, I am a writer, editor and project manager, who also has skills in graphic design, photography and administrative work. Some of those areas are difficult to capture as samples, while the others (primarily writing and editing) are on full display, here, in my portfolio, and by example in my resume and cover letter. Many of these samples don’t cover the full range of my expertise, however. I am incredibly detail-oriented, while also in tune with the big picture. As a remarkably curious person, I ask useful questions that enable me to learn nearly any role with impeccable speed and accuracy.

When it comes to editorial work, my dynamic writing skills invite readers of all kinds. I thrive in writing and editing news stories such as breaking news, features and profiles, sports stories and opinion pieces. I also have extensive experience writing and editing nonfiction children’s books, narrative nonfiction and fiction stories, sales and marketing training modules, presentations and supplemental learning materials. All of this makes for a well-rounded writer and editor, but I always look forward to learning more.

On my day off, you can probably find me in an antique store, organizing or redecorating my home, reading, or working in the yard. I start each day with a newspaper and a cup of coffee (or three), and end it with a good book.
